BigBoy Tech Show, Ft.Myers, FL 4.12.08 – 4.13.08
Well folks, the tour has officially kicked off. This weekend we played at the BigBoy tech show expo in N.Ft. Myers, FL. The weekendwas a crazy one with tons of activities all around. We had the StuntNutz bike team out getting super crazy onthe asphalt. From Wheelies to big white smoke burn outs it was an event tosee. There was a bmx team that wasgoing huge with three’s and tailwhips over big doubles. A skate team from TC’swakeskatesurf was just blowing up the skate setup. I can’t even explain the technicalities that were going downwith those boys, nice work. Forthe wake part it consisted of the Ride For Cancer booth with TC’s wake skateand surf. The new Centurion was ahot item and the crowd was excited with an up close and personal view on TC’sgigantic wakeboard rail. The railwas a great challenge but we all seemed to show the viewers how we do it on thewater. Big thanks to everyone whoshowed up to say hello and help starting off the Ride For Cancer Tour.
Wake Games – 4/24-27/08 – Orlando Watersports Complex
Let me just say that this was an awesome event to be at. I teamed up with Tobacco Free Florida and with their help we set an impact on the Orlando crowd. Tobacco Free Florida set up and had all the crafty promotional items you could think of. From comic books to fold out frisbees, they had everything and the kids loved the free items.
The Competition is getting fierce out there and I was amazed to see how the sport is moving into some good directions. Wake Games is a great family oriented event and if you ever are in Orlando around this time, be sure to check out all the venues and athletes, you will not be disappointed. I would like to thank every one who made this possible and for all your support during the Ride For Cancer Tour. Thanks again for everyone’s time on a better understanding towards cancer awareness. Be sure to check the dates for up coming events around your area.

5-24-08 Lake James, Indiana
The week prior to this event the days were filled with cold air and highs in the 50's. This was not the case for saturdays event. The lake was solid with boaters and for some reason the weather always heat's up for an event and I am very thankful for that. The sun was bright and a cool breeze still kept you with a shirt on at sometimes. The lake scene was awesome tons of boats and everyone seemed to be very excited for the event dates ahead. When you get a ton of people together on a lake during a holiday you know your in for some excitement. I would like to thank everyone for there support and donations and our troops who serve our beautiful country.
5-25-08 Lake James, Jimmerson lake
The day started pretty early with another sunny awakening. We topped off the morning with some Tom's doughnuts which are made fresh all day. The first couple sets went great with no water warriors out yet, so it kept the water smooth. We had a nice midday experiment with some water balloon launching from a pontoon boat. Just when the day was getting prime with laker's we came across a kid with his guitar and an amp playing some crazy tunes out on his dock. Now I have never scene this and was pretty amazed at the situation as the pictures speak for themselves. Just when we thought we were good we had an electrical failure with the beast and was luckily at the sand bar and continued to pass along the tour info and promote the cause. Thanks again for everyone involved with the help (DT, Burns, Nate, Rye)
Another thing I did not see a better looking boat out here....... so check out your local centurion dealer for some great action.
6-7-08 VertClothing Jam Session, Fox Lake Indiana
This was a great saturday to have an event for being outside. The days prior again were gloomy with thunderstorms but not on our day. The temperature was in the 90's and there was a slight wind that headed right down the lake but was not too bad. We had plenty of riders and I wish I could show you but the camera batteries ran out and I was on the lake with nothing else. we had a good give away as well with products from VertClothing, Arnette and Gatorboards. I would like to thank John Klein a rider for sling-shot wakeboards for coming out and giving us his exhibition for the fans. Jeigh Krupp from the American Cancer Society and everyone for there donations. The event was great but the lake ski hrs were from 1-4pm so that cut us short for other activities. But with the Centurion getting out of the water easy it left us plenty of time for everyone to get a turn. See you next event.
6-14-08 freeze Ride Session, Coldwater, MI
It was a great morning again up here in the Midwest. The location was a quite place in achannel secluded by trees but plenty of boat traffic to see the eventsetup. I wish we could havestarted the event earlier that morning due to choppy conditions from otherboaters. Instead we all decided toput the boards up and with the spacious room of the Centurion Enzo SV230 we hadplenty of relaxing space and enjoyed a great time cruising the southernMichigan lakes. Thanks to everyonewho showed up and gave us support.
6-28-08 Muncie Water Bowl Surf - Muncie, IN
I thought this trip was a fun one. They know how to have a great time down in Muncie, IN. It was a pretty good turn out for the muncie water bowl surf ride. The morning was filled with rain and the dark clouds kept people from coming out but the afternoon turned out great. Right off the highway is this private lake for recreational purposes and you have a beach with a little snack bar inside and out side you get some live music action and some volleyball that was pretty interesting. The surf sets behind the centurion left no one complaining and plenty of smiles. I would like to thank Ed Sullivan and Chris Walker for there time with the RideForCancerTour and everyone else for your support so far.
7-4-08 Independence day parade
Thiswas one of the most spectacular parades to be at. I really think the whole county was at this parade. The length of the course was about twomiles and every square inch was covered with spectators cheering andwaving. The scene was awesome, wewere in front of the tractor party and they had some classic lawnmachines. The parade consisted ofhundreds of floats and all were done by businesses and non-profitorganizations. We had plenty ofgiveaways thanks to Gatorboards, centurion, Arnette, VertClothing andMercruiser engines. All in all Idon’t think any one will forget the impact the parade made for all the kids inthe area was a great event to be at. Thanks to the city of Angola for allowing us to take part in such awonderful event.
7-5-08 Lake James blast
Ok, lets just see what happens when you get one of thecraziest holidays and thousands of people together on a lake to party for ourindependence. The Centurion was amajor role in what kept the vibe alive this day. The speakers were blaring with good tunes and hundreds ofpeople gathered to celebrate one of the best sandbar parties ever. We are talking about the beachvolleyball, live music and enough grilled food to last an army.
7-11-08 Ride The Wave
Wetook out everyone from Ride The Wave Watersports this weekend and the Friday wasa spectacular event to be at. Thewater was not too bad with lakers and the calm breeze kept everyone fromoverheating. Thanks to Ride TheWave for promoting this event and being a part of such a wonderful tour. The day was a fun one with plenty ofwakeboards to try and the onlookers seemed to enjoy the room of the Enzo SV230by Centurion. Thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend and Ride The Wave Watersports for hosting this event.
